As Global Technical Director, Zachary Lager oversees the carbon certification process, supports compliance with standards, and guides operational planning and implementation. He also leads the development of project design documentation, monitoring reports, MRV systems, standard operating procedures, and data management systems across Eden’s nature-based solutions portfolio.
With around 10 years of experience working in carbon from academic, technical advisory, commercial, and legal perspectives, Zachary brings expertise in FPIC design, project design, MRV, and strategic leadership. His broader background also includes nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and community-based work in Southern Africa. Outside of work, he enjoys basketball, camping, mountaineering, scuba diving, cooking, and growing organic food.
