Joy Simunchembu’s work is to build and maintain strong relationships with communities, stakeholders, and partners involved in environmental and carbon projects. Her responsibilities as Community Engagement Officer includes facilitating participation, supporting outreach and awareness efforts, gathering community feedback, and helping ensure initiatives create meaningful social and environmental benefits.
A social work and project management professional with over seven years of experience in development and humanitarian programs in Zambia, Joy brings expertise in community engagement, project coordination, monitoring and evaluation, inclusive development, and donor-funded implementation. She is especially motivated by work that strengthens local voices and community ownership. Her pursuits outside work include staying active, watching soccer, playing netball, and spending time with her family, especially taking walks with her son.
