Chimanimani Landscape Restoration Project
The Chimanimani Landscape Restoration Project represents a historic accomplishment in Eden's evolution, having completed foundational work across 206,000 hectares of Mozambique's biodiverse buffer zone. This initiative demonstrated Eden's capacity to engage 22 communities, protect 60,000 hectares, and establish frameworks for restoring 95,000 hectares, creating valuable groundwork for future carbon-eligible landscape projects.
Cinturón Verde Restoration Project
The Cinturón Verde Restoration Project represents Eden's historic accomplishment in Honduras, where 96,500 hectares of vital watersheds were protected around Tegucigalpa. This initiative connected five protected areas through biological corridors, demonstrating expertise in fire management and forest restoration that now informs Eden's strategic focus on carbon-eligible landscapes across the region.
Dakatcha Woodlands Carbon Project
The Dakatcha Woodlands Carbon Project targets 241,000 hectares of Kenya's threatened coastal forest, aiming to generate 15+ million carbon credits over 40 years. This integrated REDD+ and ARR initiative combines protection of ancient Miombo woodlands with community-driven restoration, exemplifying Eden's strategic shift to carbon-eligible landscapes in East Africa.
Lamu County Mangrove Restoration Initiative
Along Kenya's northern coast, Eden's Lamu County initiative demonstrated our capability to restore Africa's largest continuous mangrove ecosystem across 154,000+ hectares. This historic accomplishment successfully restored 1,120+ hectares while developing innovative techniques and community partnerships that provide valuable foundations for future carbon-eligible mangrove projects in similar landscapes across the region.
Mau Forest Complex Restoration Project
The Mau Forest Complex Restoration Project (2020-2024) demonstrated Eden's capacity to restore Kenya's largest Afromontane forest ecosystem—a critical water tower sustaining 13 rivers, millions of people, and the Mara-Serengeti wildlife. This historic initiative established restoration frameworks and community partnerships that laid groundwork for future carbon-eligible landscape projects in the region.
Musokotwane-Nyawa Miombo Woodland Carbon Project
Within Zambia's Kazungula District, this 185,000-hectare carbon-eligible landscape initiative restores critical wildlife corridors connecting Kafue and Mosi-oa-Tunya National Parks. Through community-led Miombo woodland restoration across two chiefdoms, the 40-year project targets 2.9-6 million carbon credits while developing forest-friendly livelihoods for 23 communities.
Olokeri Carbon Project
The Olokeri Carbon Project partners with Maasai communities to protect 188,000 hectares of sacred Naimina Enkiyio Forest in Kenya's Loita Hills. This phased 40-year initiative integrates traditional stewardship with carbon finance to conserve biodiversity-rich Afromontane ecosystems, targeting 8-29 million tCO₂e while sustaining community livelihoods and cultural heritage.
Rubeho Mountains Carbon Project
Spanning 394,000 hectares in Tanzania's Eastern Arc Mountains, this active 40-year carbon project combines REDD+ and ARR to generate 14.8-23.5 million carbon credits while empowering 92,458 people across 40 villages to protect biodiversity, secure water resources, and demonstrate Eden's carbon-eligible landscape restoration model.
Sunkoshi Basin Restoration Project
In Nepal's Midhills region, Eden's historic Sunkoshi Basin Project (2015-2024) spanned 257,400 hectares, strengthening community-managed forests through partnerships with over 1,100 Forest User Groups. This successful initiative enhanced biodiversity and disaster resilience while demonstrating effective approaches to complex forest governance systems.
