As Monitoring, Evaluation, Adaptation, and Learning (MEAL) Director, Laura Jessup leads the design and oversight of MEAL systems, supports forest landscape restoration, and ensures project compliance with carbon standards. She is motivated by applying her research background to real-world challenges in Tanzania, and by the opportunity to improve outcomes for people, nature, and climate through strong data systems and adaptive learning.
With a PhD in Forestry and Natural Resources and a background spanning ecological research, forest carbon science, and geospatial analysis, she brings experience from roles with the U.S. Forest Service, NASA Jet Propulsion Lab, The Nature Conservancy, and biodiversity market project design. When not at work, Laura enjoys playing piano, reading, and spending time outdoors hiking, running, and botanizing.
