Elliot Kinsey

Country Director of Tanzania

Elliot Kinsey is an accomplished conservation practitioner with 15 years of professional experience, dedicated to advancing community-driven solutions to poverty and climate challenges in East Africa. His expertise in ecology and conservation is enhanced by proficient technical skills in data management, monitoring, evaluation, learning, and advanced quantitative and geospatial analytics. He has collaborated with Tanzanian partners and international entities, contributing to a variety of conservation and development programs.

Currently, as the Tanzania's Country Director for Compassionate Carbon, Elliot focuses on carbon credit project development and the implementation of nature-based solutions. His commitment to sustainability is the keystone of his leadership, guiding Compassionate Carbon's mission to instigate beneficial change for communities and the environment alike.

Elliot has an MSc in Conservation Biology from the University of Cape Town and a BA in Biology and Environmental Studies with an emphasis on International Issues from Macalester College in Minnesota.
